Budapest Select pavilion concept
For me, Lake Balaton is the Riviera
Our task was to create a "Budapest Select" pavilion concept for a design exhibition in Paris, in the spirit of locality. The basic idea was inspired by one of the most characteristic natural values of Hungary, Lake Balaton. The pavilion evokes and abstracts the silhouette of the mountain ranges of the Balaton Uplands, and displays the shades of the characteristic bluish-green "Balaton color". The pavilion is made out of 50/50 cm module elements that can be easily varied, allowing multiple layouts. Tables, seating areas and exhibition podiums can also be created from the module elements. The raster floor and ceiling delimit the stand area and also allow the installation of electrical connections and lighting. In the spirit of sustainability, the elements of the stand module were designed from recycled plastic.
